Maven Vets Wins in Veterinary Practice Design Awards

Maven wins practice design award

We are thrilled to announce that Maven Veterinary Care has been crowned winner of the 2015 British Veterinary Hospital Association Design Awards in the category of Refurbished Practice.

Having completed our extensive practice renovations in April 2015 we are immensely proud of our practice and can think of no greater accolade.

Many of our clients will remember the clinic as it stood in April 2014 when we began the works, still under our old name of Frean and Smyth. For those of you who have forgotten why not visit our history page for a trip down memory lane?

Having joined us in this epic transformation we appreciated the endless patience of our clients as building work took place around us throughout the year……who can forget the endless drilling and banging?!

In the end it has all been more than worth it!

Our beautiful new clinic features several features which the judges of this competition felt worthy of note:

Our entirely separate cat facilities: Not only do we now have entirely separated waiting areas for our feline friends where cats can sit alongside their owners, we also have a dedicated feline only consulting room and hospital wards.

Our theatres are state of the art, spacious and light and well equipped. In addition, the entirely separate induction area allows for calm and quiet as pets are prepared for their operation.

Our dental suite with dental x-ray facilities incorperated allowing dentistry to be done to a high standard.

Our isolation ward – kept entirely separate from the rest of the hospital this ward allows for proper care and treatment of patients who need to be separated from other patients.

The award was presented to owner Michael Morrice and practice manager Maureen Geraghty during an award ceremony in December 2015 by the president of the British Veterinary Hospital Association, Martin Smith.
