Opportunity to join our progressive team as a Veterinary Surgeon

JOB TITLE:

VETERINARY SURGEON (Three-month fixed term contract) 

REPORTING TO:

CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Maven Veterinary Care are looking for an experienced surgeon to join our multiple award-winning team to cover three months of maternity leave.

We are an RCVS accredited practice with multiple certificate holders. We have achieved four outstanding practice standards awards and are very well respected in the local area. We are a friendly team that enjoy working to the highest standards for our busy case load.

Applicants will be at least 2 years qualified and have excellent medical, imaging and surgical skills.

There are no out of hours or bank holiday shifts as we have a dedicated provider onsite, meaning that patients can be readily hospitalised for intensive treatment. Appointments are 15 minutes long.

Weekday shifts vary, with three shifts finishing before 4pm (1x 7:30-330, 2x 8-4) and two 8pm (10-8 or 12-8 if worked a weekend) finishes per week. We would be looking for the candidate to work two full weekend shifts (8-4 Saturday, 10-2 Sunday) and two Saturday shifts (8-4) with time off in lieu the following week (2 and 1 full days respectively).

Holiday allowance is 25 days plus bank holidays and your birthday off. Pro rata’d for fixed term contracts.
