Nicola has been a Veterinary nurse for 18 years and qualified in 2003. Originally from Australia, she moved to the UK in 2004 and took the position of Head Nurse with Frean and Smyth Vets (now Maven Vets).

Nicola enjoys all aspects of nursing including managing a team of wonderful nurses. Her particular nursing interests include animal physiotherapy and medical nursing. In Australia Nicola owned an Alaskan malamute and a couple of cats, one of whom lived to 20 years of age! She also enjoyed working with race horses in Australia for many years. At present Nicola doesn’t own any pets and so she really enjoys the time spent with patients at work.
