Katie Haysom

Katie has been working in veterinary practice since 1999 and gained her qualification as Veterinary Nurse in 2003. She has spent her career at Maven Vets (previously Frean and Smyth Vets).

In  2011 Katie became Deputy Head Nurse assisting the Head Nurse in administrative and management duties while continuing her clinical work.

Katie is also a clinical coach, overseeing the training of student nurses within the practice.

Katie enjoys the varied nature of her job, looking after animals sick or healthy and finds it very rewarding when animals that have been in for a long time go home to their owners fully recovered. She has a particular interest in cat behaviour. At home Katie has a cat called Rocky, who can be very cheeky at times, perfect for practicing her behaviour training!
