Maven Scoops Quartet of RCVS Awards
We are delighted to announce that we’ve become one of only a handful of sites in the UK to be rated outstanding in no fewer than four areas by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons’ (RCVS) Practice Standards Scheme (PSS).
The awards reflect the high standard of work which the team at Maven adhere to daily and provide confidence for clients that they are getting the best care both for themselves and for their pets.
In the final report, the RCVS practice standards assessor said:
“This was a lovely practice and one of the very best I have visited. The practice was in an immaculate condition and incredibly well organised.
The structures and management in place were of the very highest order. I was really impressed by the commitment of this practice to provide the very highest standards of clinical care to its clients.
This was a superb practice of the highest order.”

Frequently Asked Questions
What awards did Maven receive?
When did Maven receive the awards?
We were given the awards following our recent inspection by the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, a body run by the regulatory body for the veterinary industry.
It follows a previous RVCS inspection where we were granted animal hospital status.
What do the awards mean to the team at Maven Vets?
Our practice is run by a team of nine vets, 14 nurses, nine receptionists and four animal care assistants, and is one of only 12 across the country to have four RCVS PSS outstanding awards.
The team were delighted to have achieved outstanding in all four areas.
Our practice manager, Maureen Geraghty Sathi, said the awards are down to our staff continually looking for ways to improve the service we offer our clients.
She said:
“When it came to the day of the inspection, everything was in place and it all went very well.
I am massively proud of the team, to see the pride in how they work. It is lovely to be told that you are working to an extremely high level, which reflects what I see in the team every day.”
