Please allow 3 working days between submitting your prescription request and collecting the medication. You will be notified by text when your prescription is ready. The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons requires us to carry out a clinical assessment when prescribing repeat medications, and this may require us to examine your pet, especially when prescribing antibiotics or controlled drugs.

All animals on long term medications must be reassessed by a vet at least once every six months or more regularly if the condition of the animal requires this.

Please note a prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is required
Returning unused and out-of-date medicines
Here at Maven, we support the return of unwanted veterinary medicines. We would like our clients to return unused and out-of-date veterinary medicines so that we can dispose of them safely. Flushing medicines down the toilet, pouring them down the sink or disposing them in domestic waste poses a risk to the environment.
This service is free of charge and we will only accept veterinary medication. Please return medication prescribed for humans to your local NHS pharmacy for disposal.
If you have cytoxic or controlled drugs for disposal, please ask a member of our practice team for assistance.
