Cats are the most popular pet in the UK

The bond between cats and humans can be very rewarding. As our understanding of cat behaviour increases, this bond strengthens and knowledge of how to address 'problem' behaviour means that they can now be properly investigated and managed.

It is important to remember that cats don't do things to be mean or spiteful, there is normally an underlying cause! Once we understand what this is measures can often be taken to resolve the situation. If the behaviour continues, a full examination is recommended as there may be an illness accounting for the change and blood tests may be required. Should the problem still persist, referral to a cat behaviourist can be organised and this may take the form of a telephone consultation, or a visit to your home.
